Trails are the way to go if you want to get close to the beauty of nature in Yangmingshan.

Yangmingshan trails are properly structured. The maps are easy to read, and the signs along the way are quite clear.
陽明山的步道很有系統，地圖很容易懂，沿路指標也很清楚。

There is even a specifically established pedestrian separation system, separating the sidewalk and traffic lane while bringing convenience and safety.
還特別設置人車分道系統，將人行的步道和車道分開，方便又安全。

The trails link up with various types of terrain and scenic spots inside the park and connect to the surrounding areas. Take the scenery in Beitou, Tamsui, Sanzhi and Jinshan, and the hot springs for example.
步道串連公園內各種地形和景點，也連接公園週邊地區，例如北投或者淡水、三芝和金山的景觀以及溫泉地。

Coming to Yangmingshan, you can pick a trail well suited to your time and stamina to stroll around.

You can take the shuttle bus or drive a car to arrive at a trail entrance without a hitch.
你可以搭乘遊園公車，或者自行開車，順利來到步道入口。

Take note of many trails paved with stones in Yangmingshan. It's wise to wear sneakers or slip-resistant shoes while hiking the trails.
但是要注意，很多步道用陽明山特有的石塊舖成，步道健行最好穿運動鞋，或者有止滑功能的鞋子。

There are even reserve trails in Yangmingshan National Park. They are very difficult to hike. Fences are used to separate them from normal trails. They require that you apply to the national park prior to entrance.
陽明山國家公園還有一種保護區等級的步道，難度很高，會用圍籬和一般步道隔開，要跟國家公園申請才能進入。

The trail system in Yangmingshan National Park can be divided into Datun Mountain System, Qixing Mountain System and Qingtiangang System . They are very accessible going uphill from Beitou or Shihlin.
陽明山公園步道系統分成大屯山系、七星山系和擎天崗系。從北投或者士林上山都很方便。

Going uphill from Shihlin, you'll first encounter Shamao mountain belonging to the Qixing Mountain System.
從士林方向上山，第一個遇到的，是屬於七星山系的紗帽山。

Tianmu Historic Trail

Many people who hike in Shamao Mountain walk the Tianmu Historic Trail.
很多人上紗帽山，會走天母古道。

If you pick this route, you can see the American Military Housing established in the vicinity of Chinese Culture University in 1950.
如果走這條路，在文化大學附近，你可以看到1950年代興建美軍宿舍群。

There were as many as 150 buildings in the housing complex. After the military left, the area became run by Bank of Taiwan, and part of it became obsolete. The initial plan was to dismantle the entire complex;
宿舍群多達150棟，美軍離開後，歸台灣銀行管理，部分宿舍荒廢，原本計劃全部拆除;

fortunately, the local Culture Office staff bent over backwards to fight for preservation, giving us the opportunity to see these beautiful and historical buildings.
幸好地方文史工作人員極力爭取保留，讓我們有機會可以看到漂亮的歷史建築。

Shamao Mountain Hiking Trail

紗帽山步道

Continuing going uphill, you can see the hiking entrance to Shamao Mountain next to the Qianshan Park around the corner of Yangmingshan Bus Terminal.
再往山上走，紗帽山登山口就在陽明山公車總站附近的前山公園旁。

Across from the street are the hot spring public baths. The springs are exceptional in quality and all for free.
對面就是溫泉公共浴池，泉質非常好，全部免費。

There are locals who frequently drive here in order to enjoy the gift from mother nature.
有市民常開著車來到這裡，享受大自然的禮物。

The old entrance next to the Yangmingshan Parking Lot is traditional in appearance, serving as the memory of Yangmingshan to the Taiwanese. You can get to the Grass Mountain Chateau from here.
陽明公園停車場旁的舊入口，造型傳統，是台灣人對陽明山的記憶，從這裡可以到草山行館。

There is Hengling Historic Trail nearby. Going downhill, you can get to Liu-ku Hot Springs.
這附近有條橫嶺古道，往下走，可以到六窟溫泉。

Walk uphill alongside Floral Clock, the landmark of Yangmingshan. There is the Yangming Book House.
沿著陽明山地標花鐘往上走，就是陽明書屋。

Leaving Yangming Book House and getting back on Yangjin Highway, you can see the second parking lot to your right, and there is the first hiking entrance to Qixing Mountain along the way.
離開陽明書屋，回到陽金公路，往右是第二停車場，途中有七星山第一個登山口。

Before making a left turn toward the Bamboo Lake, there is Japonica Rice Story House.
左轉下竹子湖前，有一個蓬萊米故事館。

Make a left to arrive at Bamboo Lake and enter Datun Mountain Range Trail.
往左走，可以到竹子湖，就進入大屯山系步道。

There are hiking entrances to Zhongzheng Shan on Zhongzheng Shan Industrial Road near Bamboo Lake. Zhongzheng Shan Trail is a secret place for cherry blossom and maple viewing.
竹子湖附近的中正山產業道路上有中正山的登山口。 中正山步道是賞櫻和賞楓的秘境。

Getting back on Yangjin Highway, you'll come by Balaka Pedestrian Separation Lane on your way to Datun Nature Park.
回到陽金公路，往大屯自然公園途中，你會看到百拉卡人車分道。

This is a great place to view Siaoyoukeng Volcanic Crater from afar.
這裡是遠觀小油坑火山口的好地方。

Looking up from Datun Nature Park, you can see Datun Mountain. There are many trails along the way, such as Caigongkeng Trail and Erziping Trail.
大屯自然公園，往上看就是大屯山，這裡途中有好幾條步道，有菜公坑步道以及二子坪步道。

Caigongkeng Trail is very distinctive. There is a Magnet Rock on the mountain, which causes compass anomaly.
菜公坑步道很特別，山上有一顆反經石, 能造成指南針異常現象。

erziping Trail can connect to Datun Mountain trail system, making it a trail very suitable for parent-child hiking.
二子坪步道可以連上大屯山步道系統，這是一條很適合親子健行的步道。

You can get to Datun Nature Park by making a turn onto Balaka Highway from Yangjin Highway; the straight path takes you to Siaoyoukeng.
從陽金公路轉百拉卡公路才能到大屯自然公園，直行就是小油坑。

Getting back to Qixing Mountain Range, you can see the trail on the roadside that goes through the unique bamboo forests of Yangmingshan here.
這裡又回到七星山系，路邊就可看到步道，穿越陽明山特有的箭竹林。

Situated above the Siaoyoukeng explosion crater is another hiking entrance to Qixing Mountain. There are relatively few trees to provide shade when hiking the trail from here. Be ready for the scorching sun.
小油坑的火山爆裂口，往上是七星山的另一個登山口，從這裡登上步道比較沒有遮蔭，要有曬太陽的準備。

Getting back on Yangjin Highway again and then continuing to follow the signs, you can get to Lengshuikeng and Qingtiangang, where you'll be entering the Qingtiangang trail system.
再回到陽金公路, 按照指標繼續走，可以到冷水坑和擎天崗,就進入擎天崗步道系統。

There are two main trails in Qingtiangang; one takes you north to the Bayan community in Jinshan; the other takes you where Neihu is bounded by Fonggueiko.
擎天崗有兩條主要步道，一條往北到金山的八煙社區，一條到內湖交界的風櫃口。

Arriving at the trail in Bayan, you can see the coastal side of Jinshan from a distance.
到八煙的步道，從步道口，就可以遠看金山沿海。

The trail can take you to Tien Lai Spring Resort Hotel and Bayan community.
步道可以走到天籟溫泉會館和八煙社區。

At the end of trail, there is a quiet Bayan community.
在步道終點，有一個安靜的八煙社區。

We saw a laundry pond here. Pay attention to the separation line in front of the house set up by the residents. They wish not to be disturbed.
我們看到這裡有洗衣服的水池，要注意的是，居民在屋前設置了隔離線，希望不要被打擾。

Terraces and the allure of the traditional farm village have enabled Bayan to find its way into the favorite list of many tourists; however, please do not interfere with the serene neighborhood.
梯田和農村傳統特色，讓八煙被列在觀光客的最愛清單上，不過，千萬不要干擾到四周住家的寧靜。
