第一個來講Dead Ringer與 Spitting Image:

Dead Ringer:可以用在酷似某人或是東西。
He is a dead ringer for his dad.
他酷似他爸。
This phone is a dead ringer for I-phone.
這支手機酷似i-phone。
Spitting Image很類似 Dead ringer , 是神似的意思, 比較常用在人像人:
My daughter is a spitting image of her mom.
我女兒神似她媽媽。
用法：
A is a dead ringer for B.
A is a spitting image of B.

On the same page是思維一致的意思:

Before we go to the meeting, I just want to make sure that we are on the same page.
在我們去開會之前，我只是想確定我們思維是一致的。

House of cards, 是指一個經不起考驗的計畫或是組織:

The case we have against the defendant is likely to be a house of cards.
我們這案件所用來對抗被告的，看起來會站不住腳。

Out of blue是沒有意料到的意思：

Joe showed up at my house out of blue.
Joe沒有意料到地出現在我家。

Go out on a limb, 一般是指冒險,或是說出大多數人不認同的想法:

比方說： He went out on a limb to help her.
他為了幫她而冒險。
I'm going to go out on a limb and say that our favorite team will likely lose tomorrow.
我要說出大多數人不認同的想法, 我們喜愛的球隊明天看起來會輸。

Head over heels, 熱戀或是神魂顛倒:

I'm head over heels with her.
我跟她在熱戀中。

Scot-free,是來形容做錯事或是壞事未經懲罰:

The prisoner escaped scot-free.
這個囚犯逃離監獄而宵瑤法外。

Start from scratch,是從零開始或是從頭開始:

I started from scratch and built the house with my own hands.
我從零開始, 用自己的手蓋了這房子。
After failing the class, he had to start from scratch and take the class again.
他這堂課被當掉之後,他必須從頭開始再去修這堂課。

Take place,　是發生，等於happen:

The concert will take place in the second half of this year.
這演唱會將會在今年下半年舉行。

Black eye,是人格上受損:

Your deceitful behavior will give you a black eye.
你絞詐的行為將會讓你人格上受損。

Put up with someone, 是忍受一個人的意思:

You won't have to put up with me much longer as I'm moving out in a month.
你將不用再忍受我太久，我一個月內就搬出去了。

Break a leg, 是祝好運:

I hope you break a leg.
我希望你好運。　

Break the ice, 是打破沉默，尤其是陌生人之間:

I hope the joke will help me break the ice with the girl.
我希望這笑話會幫助我跟這女孩打破沉默。
